Women of Weehawken Spotlight
Awesome, inspiring women who call Weehawken home.
Did you know one of the most intuitive healers lives in our area? Let me introduce you to a woman who has changed my life personally in the most beautiful way, Hadley.
As luck should have it, we do not need to travel afar to receive some of the most powerful healing techniques. I have been a client of Hadley’s since October of 2017 and the transformations she has led me through has been nothing short of AMAZING. Healing is a loose term. What is “healing?” Most are familiar with the term healing as in a holistic manner. For me it is just meant as “personal.” I feel it is safe to say that most of us have or at some point in our lives, experienced personal traumas either from the past or present, emotional or physical traumas, depression, fear, body image, or anxieties. Sometimes we can get a little lost in the juggle of life, tending to go outside of ourselves for acceptance, joy, or satisfaction.
Hadley has the ability to bring you back to you, where your safe place should be naturally. Through her work, (and yes you have to work through it too), you can lead a life full of self love, acceptance, and peace. No one is meant to suffer. We are all here to live the most blissful life as possible. We all know the power that depression can have, loosing some of our most beloved beings in society over the past few weeks Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade. I truly believe just as much as we take care of our bodies physically, we must take care of the inside spiritual self just as equally, if not more so. So Weehawken, with that being said, here is a little synopsis of Hadley’s methods.
|Motion is created in everything within the universe. This motion produces frequencies that then make sound. Everything has its own vibration. The vibration of the human body has its own rhythm, and due to anxiety, stress, and everyday life, ones frequencies can be out of balance or blocked. Sound Therapy helps put you back in rhythm on a cellular level and helps raise your vibration frequency by creating balance with mind, body, and spirit.|
|“On a personal note, I am a musician. When I make music, I do it with my whole heart and soul, so Sound Therapy is no different. I use gongs, singing bowls, chimes, and much more when giving a Sound Therapy Treatment/Meditation. It is my intention with Sound Therapy that you will experience a bath of sound, leading you to an overall feeling of peace, balance, and healing.” – Hadley|
|Hadley has been taught by some of the finest teachers in the world. Because sound is so large, the learning continues.|
|Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a belief that Universal Energy flows through us, and by connecting to Source, mind , body , spirit can reach balance and heal.
|Shamanic Reiki is a technique taken from Shamans all over the world to help heal mind, body and spirit. The client plays an active part in this method. Journeying will take you places that you never thought you could go, giving much insight to your healing. In my practice, I also use Sound ,Reiki and much more. These sessions can run up to 2-3 hrs long.
|A Nutritional Therapist ( NT) works with individuals to prevent disease or to help minimize symptoms of developing disease through nutrition. NT can help play a role in identifying nutritional deficiencies and formulate a personal diet to correct nutrient deficiencies and help facilitate a healthy overall system.
Animal Massage Therapy
|Hadley is also certified in Animal Massage and has been practicing for over 18 yrs. She has been taking care of dogs for over 20 yrs and has vast knowledge on nutrition for dogs and cats. Sound and Reiki are also used in Animal Therapy.|
Weehawken Life Q & A
Here are a few questions I had the opportunity to ask Hadley. We all love a little Q & A right!?
Q: How long have you lived in the Weehawken area?
A: 1.5 years
Q: What do you love most about Weehawken?
A: The people
Q: Where do you frequent most in Weehawken?
A: Gypsy Yogis..Unfortunately, it just closed the doors. The other place I frequent is the reservoir. I love connecting to nature there.
Q: Describe Weehawken in 1 word.
Q: Okay I ask all the Women of Weehawken this… Words of Wisdom? As a successful business owner/entrepreneur, what advice would you give to someone who wants to start their own practice or business.
A: I have always been in business for myself. Following my heart and my passion. I am a musician/singer/ songwriter first..getting into body, mind, spirit work was always natural for me. As an artist, I am sensitive. I am an activist fighting for human rights, water, and all that is Mother Earth. There are times in your life that bring you down on your knees and you just don’t know what to do..Nothing you do seems to work or change. Nothing you say makes a difference SEEMINGLY..Getting into Sound Therapy, Reiki, Shamanic Reiki, and Nutrition has saved me, and because of that, I have to share it with others. I have seen clients lives change. (and animals – as I do this work on them too.) It is making a difference in peoples lives unlike all of the protesting I have done in my life..So for me, making music and doing all of the modalities I do for body work gives my life PURPOSE. Following your HEART and find your BLISS.. This is what I believe in, and I believe that the Universe will support me through it all.. So Believe in your dreams and GO FOR IT..Don’t live in FEAR. Define the clear picture in your head as to what you want, and don’t stop until you get it. – Hadley
